There is something in the spirit... Something that captures the soul and the very essence we are made of. The spirit is "life, breath, vitality, animation, psyche, essence, substance, soul, vision, courage, boldness, enthusiasm, humor, frame of mind, temper..." (-thesaurus). We all have a spirit and I believe the spirit is like a muscle. The more we strengthen it, the stronger and more sustainable it becomes. Also, the more we practice having access to it, the more we will gain access... I also believe strengthening your spirit is like strengthening your Faith; its a life long process.
Salt and light are agents of change. Salt adds flavor. Light dispels darkness. We are meant to be the salt of the earth and we can add flavor by feeding our spirit because that's where the light is found. In the place that can't be explained by science or time and place... the spirit is the essence that we are all connected to.... like love as the ocean. I believe when the spirit is expressed wondrous things happen and miracles are born because light is revealed.
Our free will determines how we want to or will allow our spirit to shine. It can shine in various capacities and eventually will effect something or someone somewhere in someway. For some people its in their music, corporation, acting, art, writing, communicating, comedy... for others maybe in their teaching, in their environmental involvement, sports, technology... either way we are throwing our flavor into the big combination daily whether we make that attempt or not.
All of the flavors are mixed into the melting pot and we are all indefinitely changed by one another... I asked my little Ethan (11 yrs old) why he loves Eminem's music so much and in his description of all of the good things he had to say about Marshall Mathers, he said sometimes his music makes him cry. I think its in the place where science and time and space can't divide us where we can find connection and purpose. Its in feeding the spirit where we find any sort of satisfaction.

The Big Bang
The Big Bang. The fire ball created the Universe. The expansion came from extreme states of heat just like a diamond is formed under high-pressure and high-temperature conditions. Both have the ability to disperse light of different colors. Not like a diamond is any basis for comparison with the Universe but it is an interesting concept to think some of the most remarkable miracles can happen from the most heated circumstances. What we think might burn us alive can actually be what builds and forms the most beautiful from the inside out... from the ground, up.
I guess that's just how it works. The natural. There is much agitation before the fire is ignited and there will be even more if you are considering the flame of a fire ball. Sticks are rubbed furiously together, match hits the box and the sparks start to fly... it takes building before a fire ball is able to fly. Maybe that's just the way its suppose to be. The agitation comes before the rogue and the spark before the fire. The Big Bang happens and that's how everything changes. The wild fire burns with love and every live creature feels the heat while it rapidly expands.
What if you gave up? No more rubbing the sticks together- no more brushing the match against the box- no more ignition of the flame- no more flame- no more fire ball- everything stays the same- no new growth- no change. What if you gave up? No more building the wave that will set off many others spinning into the vastness with love- no more building relationships- no more hope- no more trust- no more waves- no more surf- stagnant water. Sometimes when we feeling like giving up its right before the Big Bang and that's when all of the building is set into motion and rapidly expands with love because you didn't give up and it was in your spirit where people found hope.

Music is both perceived and conveyed within the boundaries of our body, mind, spirit and soul. Everyone has music inside of them and the music is heard and played daily whether we are aware of it or not. We are all instruments playing our song into the vast Universe.
In life/work/career/dreams/family/marriage/relationship/friendship trials come. "Love is like the sea"... deep and wide.... filled with the known and unknown.. both powerful and unpredictable.. uncontrollable and extremely significant. Our music sounds and what is heard is up to each one of us in our own journey.
Today we have the opportunity to play... you can go solo, do a duet, you can sing, dance, write people into a trance, work as a team or triumph individually. The reality is, when all is said and done, music is filled with any PLEASING COMBINATION of sounds, consisting of many components. In the bigger picture, we are working together for the Greater Good and we are the different components connected to one beat... love.
Our gift is in our song. Everyone has a sound to fill the Earth with, but the real MUSIC is made with a PLEASING combination of sounds.

The Glittered Sky
To create is to bring into existence what has not yet had the chance to rise before
To create is to produce, perform, build, construct, make and form.
All of creation (as we know it) is the Universe
Creation is a result of creating -- Creation is original.
The inventive artist finds ways to be productive.
There is always a way. The gift of the artist comes in finding the path and blazing the trail when they arrive. It comes with imagination and requires nature, totality and Faith.
I was walking my dog the other day and for the first time I realized why he was running crooked. I'd seen him do it hundreds of times but I didn't really understand the nature of it until the other day when it clicked in my mind. He is a Herding Dog by nature, a sheep dog, so his job is to keep the herd going in the right direction. Well, when we go walking, I/we are his herd and I noticed him walking according to that pattern.
When I was going too far to the right side of the trail, he would turn his back side all the way to the right with his head and neck facing the left to point me in the right direction. Then, when I moved over to the other side of the trail he switched his positioning in the exact opposite direction to guide me the right way. I laughed to myself thinking about these things that are so innate to us that we might not even be aware of on the conscious level but we each have special gifts and talents to offer.
My dog was born a herder and his natural instincts come out in any circumstance but sometimes in different form. For example, if he was herding a group of sheep somewhere he'd be running circles around them and maybe biting their legs to get them moving. If he is near the kids around the pool he herds them away from the water by nudging them with his nose. When he hikes or walks with humans, he is the guide and makes sure they are moving along together on the right path just by shifting his body. No matter what, he just naturally does his job.
We all have instinctive gifts inside and we all have the ability to create ways to use them. We will come to different paths and platforms in which our gifts and talents will be used accordingly. May our creations shine as if we just threw a fist full of glitter into the sky and created sparks of light illuminating the darkness. Or may our creations be a solid beacon of light to brighten the path for others who don't know the way. The best of all creations are drawn from the source of all creation. The Creator, the Maker.

The Love Rogue

Coming from somewhere deep inside of the chambers of my heart
Small beats that seem insignificant send vibrations throughout my blood stream
The magnificence of the build floods my entire being
I'm left astounded at the beauty and mastery of it all

God Bless America
Mother nature rip roars her waves like a Momma Bear protecting her threatened cubs.
Birds bathe in the shallow of the waves and the sun's luminous light dazzles across the ocean's surface.
The rich Man plays fetch with his dog on the beach living his dream.
The immigrant Man stares sleeplessly out of his car window at the Man wishing that life for his son who drifts away comfortably in the back seat wrapped by the loving arms of America.
Her hands stretched outward welcoming and open to people of all kinds, knowing its the mixing of the ingredients that make something flavorful.
Its the combination; The blending of the soup in the Melting Pot that makes America the country it is.
"The land of the free and the home of the brave." Like the brave Man in the car next to me who was willing to sacrifice everything he's ever known to give his son the life he always dreamed of having.
