The Magic in People

Once upon a time there are people who have or will walk into your life and change it forever. They change it not because of who they are, but who you are when you are with them. You can find freedom in people. People who stand by you when you express yourself like a dark character and people who stand by you when you express yourself like a star. There are also people in between who love you just the way you are, either way. Most of the time, they are one in the same, just as you are.

Tortilla Jo's

We were blessed with the opportunity to eat dinner at Tortilla Jo's, located at 1510 Disneyland Drive, Anaheim, CA 92802. This restaurant is located in the Downtown Disney area where a Disneyland pass or ticket is not needed to walk through, dine and shop. There is live music to be enjoyed before and/or after dining at Tortilla Jo's or anywhere in Downtown Disney.

Parking tickets are validated if you dine at Tortilla Jo's which means you have parking for approximately 4 hours total because the first two hours are free and the validation also gives two hours for parking. Aside from the parking validation benefit, the food at Tortilla Jo's is excellent!

We got a $20 combo plate which included beans, rice, and a choice of 3 different things such as a shredded beef taco, and two enchiladas, once shredded beef and one cheese. The food portions were great and could easily be shared among two people and a baby with $3 for an extra plate. We also filled up on chips and salsa (the salsa is the BEST!!!) and ordered guacamole prepared at the table. The guacamole was delicious! The beer on tap was also one of the best I've ever tasted.

The ambiance is good and the service is great. There was no wait time to get seated. It is a fairly large restaurant. It is kid friendly and the guacamole can be made mild enough to share with the children as well as the salsa, mild enough for children to enjoy. Tortilla Jo's is a great place to go on a date or celebrate the day with loved ones. The dining experience followed by a stroll through Downtown Disney, enjoying the live music and exciting culture creates bright and happy memories.

Disneyland's California Adventure

Today we went to California Adventure and we got to see a sneak preview of the new movie, Pete's Dragon. The sneak preview was nothing short of amazing! We got 3D glasses and made our way into the theater. For young children who do not yet have the capacity to watch an entire movie, this is perfect! The best part of the preview, aside from the story line being great, were the special affects.

There were parts in the preview where the main character was riding the dragon and the special affects in the theater made it feel like we were riding the dragon as well. Around water, water sprinkled us in the theater and the same with wind. The length of the preview was timed with perfection and watching it with the 3D glasses was the icing on the cake.
