Favorite Meals
Some of my favorite soccer memories as a player are connected to the food I ate prior to and after a match. It was a ritual. Chinese food the night before. Lots of green tea and tons of water. Oatmeal and a side of hash browns for breakfast. Lots of water. Persian food after the games to treat my body after all of the hard work. Lots of water, yogurt drinks and yogurt along with the food. In preparation of games, it's important to treat your body and your mind with these favorite items you love. Treat your water with a splash of rose water, dill water, mint water, orange blossom water, or whatever it is that keeps you mindful of self care.

"Set Intentions: Start the week with a clear vision of what you want to accomplish. Set specific goals and intentions for the week ahead, both personally and professionally.
Plan Ahead: Take some time at the beginning of the week to plan your schedule and prioritize tasks. Break down larger goals into smaller, actionable steps, and schedule time for important activities and commitments.
Practice Time Management: Be mindful of how you allocate your time throughout the week. Use time management techniques such as the Pomodoro Technique or time blocking to stay focused and productive.
Take Breaks: Remember to schedule regular breaks throughout the day to rest and recharge. Taking breaks can help prevent burnout and improve overall productivity and well-being.

Practice Self-Care: Make self-care a priority throughout the week. Take care of your physical, mental, and emotional well-being by getting enough sleep, eating nourishing meals, exercising regularly, and engaging in activities that bring you joy and relaxation.
Stay Connected: Stay connected with friends, family, and colleagues throughout the week. Schedule time for meaningful interactions and check-ins, whether it's through phone calls, video chats, or in-person meetings.

Public School Education Specialized
School for my kids has been an adventure. I anticipated for them to go to public school for elementary and private school for H.S. originally. Then covid happened and plans started changing. A program was available for us that was not usually apparent. The Independent Study Program through the school district was introduced to us. The students receive the same curriculum as public school kids and it's offered through the public school. The students meet with one another and their teacher virtually for 30 minutes + per day.
The program consists of a small group of students who will be in the same class throughout their entire education K-12 unless certain factors change such as the students move, etc. The students do the same work as public school students, but the schedule is more flexible and they're able to work from home. Apparently charter schools and home school programs receive financial support for students who do their work from home so this, I'd say is the one factor that needs attention with the Independent Study program as there is no financial support available.
This program is amazing for students who are also athletes and need specialized hours to dedicate to their sport, as school goals can also be accomplished accordingly. I'm thankful for this program offered to the students through the school district because it allows the students to work at their own pace and learn the traditional information in the comfort of their own space. As an educator, I appreciate this type of flexibility within the public education system.
