 I went to school to become a nurse right after I graduated from high school. Left the reservation when I started working. 

You love anyone at the reservation still? 

I visit my mom every chance I get. 

I thought you said your folks passed when you were 18 months old. 

They did. I mean I visit my mom, as in, the woman who raised me my whole life on the reservation. The wife of the chief. 

Well, that's nice. 

Yes it is. I'm lucky to have had her as my mother. 

I think she's lucky to have had you as her child also.
