Forgiving

Regret, remorse and guilt are all emotions that are so incredibly difficult to shake. They are negative emotions I'm sure everyone has experienced some time or another. You think of what you could have or should have done differently but you can't go back and change the past no matter how hard you try. So you must move forward. Depression is an awful and lonely disease that alienates people from society.
Millions of people suffer from depression and according to CDC.gov, depression affects one in ten US adults. So if you are feeling depressed, don't feel like you are alone in your struggle. There are things that make depression worse as well as things that make it better. If you are around someone who is depressed, know that your kindness in hard times can stick with them for a lifetime.

Night Sky App

This is what our sky is looking like tonight.

Food Consumption

My brother showed me this TED video about food. It reminded me of all of the times we've eaten at Burger King and how Mc Donald's is treated as if it's a special prize for kids. Gross.
I remember I was obsessed with these cheese fries in Hawaii and my friend Al got on my back about it. He told me it was one of the most unhealthy things I could be eating. At first I was kinda mad because I liked the fries so much. I knew he was right the whole time though I didn't want to admit it because I wanted the fries.
Now my brother is on this juicing kick and it really is infectious. I love making smoothies again and I've even found some ingredients I prefer to get the desired taste.
When it comes down to it, what you eat can make a big difference in how you feel. Balance and moderation are huge components in the equation, which becomes challenging to a society constantly exposed to over consumption.
So, I like this talk and the wish of this Jamie Oliver guy. I'll try to think of ways to share what I'm eating, to find and share better ingredients for life.

Garden Tools

My brother is always coming up with these ideas. Sometimes they're a little wild, like when he tried to make snow in the winter by using a big fan and cold water. Other times, like what he showed us today, his ideas are awesome!
Today he showed us a place in the yard where he set up a little garden type looking area (photo included). He ordered some red worms online and put a bunch of them in this little area. The red worms take the grass he cuts and they eat it, which in turn, creates fertilizer (I'm guessing when they poop it out?).
For more information you can look them up as Eisenia fetida on Wiki. Or just Google red worm and you can find a bunch of information.
He was also talking about how fast they reproduce and I'm hoping they stay in the area they're suppose to.
