Star Bucks by Suzie Sateri

I went into the Starbucks at Downtown Disney and I asked if I could get a discount for having a Disneyland Annual Pass. I was told I could not get a discount at that Starbucks but I could get a discount at the Starbucks inside of Disneyland. The reason being that the Starbucks (there are two of them) in Downtown Disneyland is a corporate one and the one inside of Disneyland (and there is one at California Adventure) is a franchise.

Taking a Break From Disneyland

Just to share some thoughts...

I appreciate people who have remained in uniform though their clothing might not be/have been testament. Uniform meaning, people who don’t change character and remain the same at all times. The truth is, we are ever changing human beings who can only strive to be more consistent and true to who we are at all times through any given opportunity. Other than that, good, honest intentions and a true heart can carry us through each day.

Just some questions I’ve been pondering...

What happens when someone falls down whether they are in uniform or not? Is it not a process to get back up? And sometimes a process in which we need help from others?

How do we know when someone is kneeling that they are not praying?

The Magic in People

Once upon a time there are people who have or will walk into your life and change it forever. They change it not because of who they are, but who you are when you are with them. You can find freedom in people. People who stand by you when you express yourself like a dark character and people who stand by you when you express yourself like a star. There are also people in between who love you just the way you are, either way. Most of the time, they are one in the same, just as you are.

Tortilla Jo's

We were blessed with the opportunity to eat dinner at Tortilla Jo's, located at 1510 Disneyland Drive, Anaheim, CA 92802. This restaurant is located in the Downtown Disney area where a Disneyland pass or ticket is not needed to walk through, dine and shop. There is live music to be enjoyed before and/or after dining at Tortilla Jo's or anywhere in Downtown Disney.

Parking tickets are validated if you dine at Tortilla Jo's which means you have parking for approximately 4 hours total because the first two hours are free and the validation also gives two hours for parking. Aside from the parking validation benefit, the food at Tortilla Jo's is excellent!

We got a $20 combo plate which included beans, rice, and a choice of 3 different things such as a shredded beef taco, and two enchiladas, once shredded beef and one cheese. The food portions were great and could easily be shared among two people and a baby with $3 for an extra plate. We also filled up on chips and salsa (the salsa is the BEST!!!) and ordered guacamole prepared at the table. The guacamole was delicious! The beer on tap was also one of the best I've ever tasted.

The ambiance is good and the service is great. There was no wait time to get seated. It is a fairly large restaurant. It is kid friendly and the guacamole can be made mild enough to share with the children as well as the salsa, mild enough for children to enjoy. Tortilla Jo's is a great place to go on a date or celebrate the day with loved ones. The dining experience followed by a stroll through Downtown Disney, enjoying the live music and exciting culture creates bright and happy memories.
